Scorchio!

Today I spent over five hours sitting in the shadow on the backyard deck. The deck's like the best place ever except for the spiders. I hate spiders. And boy are there a lot of spiders there. There's one thing I hate more than spiders and that's spiders crawling all over me. And boy were they crawling all over me! Anyway, I was just browsing through the Fantasia Film Festival schedule and trying to figure out which movies to see and when.

Yes, for over five hours.

The festival lasts for 20 days and there are like 140+ different films/documentaries/plays/whatever so it was quite a bit of work to get everything sorted out. Personally I'm really anxious to see such masterful pieces of classic arthouse cinema as "Alien vs Ninja" and "Tucker & Dale vs Evil". However, the absolute highlight of the whole festival is, of course, Re-Animator (1985). YES! THEY'RE SHOWING RE-ANIMATOR! And what's even better, Stuart Gordon, the director, and Jeffrey Combs, the bestest mad scientist ever, are going to be there! OH MY GOD! DRIBBLING ON MYSELF, I'M THAT EXCITED! And Jon's friends like Re-Animator, too. They must be the most awesomestest friends ever! Where can I get friends like that? I want friends who like Re-Animator!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for vomiting all that excitement drenched in a healthy dose of caps lock fury, but today was a pretty warm day. It was like +35 and with the added bonus of humidity it was almost like sitting in sauna.

Then in the evening I thought I'd take my bike down to Fairview and see if there are some kind of bike racks or something, and there was. Took me like 30mins to cycle there and back as opposed to 70mins by foot, so looks like I'll be saving 40mins every time I head downtown from now on. The downside to this little trip of mine was that despite the fact that temperature had already gone down to 30 degrees, riding a bike for 30mins was like taking a shower. Now I'm soaking wet.

Yeah, I know! For over five hours!
