Oh hi, you can have a headline too, nice

So, let's try again, with a little more energy this time. I'll first spam you with more pics from yesterday, then I'll let you know what I've been up to today. That is, apart from arranging Jon's brother Chris's two billion DVDs into alphabetical order. Fun fact: we got up to F.

So, old Montreal was pretty amazing. Lots of old European stuff combined with modern glass skyscrapers. Anyway, less babbling, more pics.

That kind of stuff was right next to...

...this kind of stuff, which made the place a real nice amalgamation of... well... new and old. Yes, I keep repeating myself. So moving right along.

Jon's place is here, in the building on the right hand side of the street:

Apparently that corner on the left is pretty famous. It's been used in several movies because of how it looks. Btw, if someone knows how to get this editor to insert a pic HERE and not right at the beginning please let me know, so I don't have to take 10 minutes to drag them from up there to down here. It's hard with this silly laptop's touchpad or whatever this thingamabob is.

I saw lots of nice little sculptures everywhere too. Like these two (I found a way to put two pics next to each other, holy jesus I'm good!):

EDIT: Well they're right beside each other here in the editor!

The gossiping ladies, especially, were great. I like it. I don't remember the name of the dude on the pony, but it was something quite similar to 'voluptuous'.

This was funny:

The bloke's halo lights up when it's dark. IIRC they said it changes colour too! I always said a decent lightshow is what a saint needs.

This one reminds me of New York...

...which was nice. This one, however, reminds me of News York's Battery Park...

...straight out of Deus Ex, which makes it totally off-the-scale AWESOME!

OK, one last Old Montreal pic, and it's this:

It was some kind of an indoors mall/subway entrance/hangaroundarea. Lots of restaurants and little shops in there. The atmosphere was somehow really nice. People were even watching the World Cup in one of the restaurants! \o/ Also, you can't really see it in the pic, but the glass roof is wayyyy up there in the skies.

So, today I practiced my English here by helping Carole arrange Chris's two trillion DVDs. I also went to WALMART(!) where I bought HERSHEY BARS(!!) and DORITOS(!!!). I'm like a skinnier version of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. Although if I keep this up I think we can scratch the word 'skinnier' soon enough.

Chris's dog was great, although I'm not sure if it was Chris's or his girlfriend's, probably the latter. It was just a 24/7 jumpfest as the little doggie desperately tried to bounce up to lick my face. If that dog doesn't have AD/HD then I don't know who does. Maybe Taina. Then again she was only 10 months old, but let's just ignore that. The dog, that is, not sure about Taina. I kinda heard Chris calling her Bill, but seeing as the dog was a 'she' the name was probably Bell. A tiny little girl dog named Bill would have been too awesome I guess.

So I also took a short little walk near Chris's place. I went to a little island called something de something de something de Cadieux. I'm still pretty lousy with these French names. Anyway, it was like being in Finland pretty much. Well, the birds chirped in a rather alien manner and the squirrels were black instead of rusty brown/red, but other than that it was like Finland. It was pretty nice, made me feel like home. A lake nearby, lots of trees, green everywhere. Here in Montreal it's actually really hard to find the kind of 'green' that's pretty much all over the place in Finland. You know, stuff like this:

I would have actually felt like being in Finland, but then they did have tiny little huts like this all over the place:

"Oh... right... yeah." Anyway, met some friendly squirrels, which is always pretty nice. One of them didn't seem to mind me at all, happily chewing on a piece of whatever, minding his own business although I was standing right next to him. Too bad my camera's battery ran out, so I only got like 5 pics from my little trip to the island. I did manage to take one pic of the squirrel, but it's blurry and not really worth posting here. The proof's on this computer though.

Here's a pic that shows you how low the water level in the lake is:

I read in the papers that citizens of Montreal are DOOMED because of this. Some of the municipalities have started to impose restrictions and stuff. Groovy. Anyway, no more pics because seriously someone tell me how to insert a pic (RIGHT HERE) instead of up there. All this dragging gets real tedious. Takes me half an hour to get the pic where I want it to be! HELP! :D

Yeah OK, more later.
